This painting survived Hurricane Irma, a category 7 hurricane that whipped through the British Virgin Islands on September 6, 2017. The hotel room it was stored in was totally destroyed; winds blew off the roof and threw all the furniture into the middle of the room.  To my surprise, underneath the sofa my two wrapped paintings lay, totally safe, unscathed.  The large painting hanging in the room, by Hawaii artist Sueda, was flung from the wall, slashed and sat amongst all the destruction.  I later learned my house was totally destroyed as was all my art.
